PERFECT CUP GUIDE
A better first cup usually starts with the right ratio and the right temperature.
Whisk 1/2 to 1 tsp matcha with 2 oz warm water, then add more water to taste.
Make a smooth matcha base first, pour over ice, then add cold milk or oat milk.
Use a little less powder for your first oat milk latte, then adjust for a stronger cup.
Keep the tin sealed, dry, and away from heat and sunlight to preserve color and aroma.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Water that is too hot can make matcha taste sharper. Try warm water around 175°F / 80°C and begin with a smaller amount of powder.
Matcha is a fine powder, so it mixes best when you whisk it with a small splash of water first. Sifting can also help create a smoother cup.
Some settling is normal because matcha is powdered tea leaf, not an instant drink. Whisk again or shake in a sealed bottle before drinking.
Color can look different under warm indoor lighting or after exposure to heat, air, or sunlight. Store the tin sealed and away from direct light.
Start with 1/2 tsp for a lighter cup or 1 tsp for a stronger latte. Adjust based on your milk, sweetness, and preferred intensity.
